8:00 am        Hour 1        How A Lawyer PROVES a P.I. Case

Learn what questions jurors ask, what they want to know before awarding the patient a verdict, and the 10
most common mistakes chiropractors make in their patient records that destroy their patient’s legal case.

9:00 am        Hour 2        Dealing With Unscrupulous Attorneys

Attorney Eggleston gets calls all the time from Chiropractors that are being ripped off by attorneys.  Learn
how to fight back against lawyers using the 3 most common ways lawyers try to rip off Chiropractors:  (1)
Stealing the Med-Pay:  (2) Cutting your Liens; and (3) Telling your patient they don’t have to pay for services
as they are rendered.

10:00 am        Hour 3       Failure to Diagnose Properly is a P.I. Epidemic

Most Chiropractors are committing malpractice on every single P.I. case they handle.  Failure to diagnose
the patient’s actual injuries can get the chiropractor sued as well as destroy the patient’s legal case.  Learn
the most commonly misdiagnosed injuries and how to diagnose and document them properly.

11:00 am        Hour 4       Prolotherapy:  Necessary Treatment For Whiplash

Prolotherapy is an essential treatment in whiplash injuries where ligament instabilities are diagnosed.
Without Prolotherapy following chiropractic treatment, the patient will have almost certain degenerative
arthritis and the surgeons may need to fuse the spine.  Peter Fields, DC, MD, is certified in Prolotherapy and
teaches when it is necessary, how it is performed, and why no P.I. case is complete until it has been done
(or at least considered) for every whiplash patient.

12:00 pm        Hour 5       Proper Treatment Is More Important Than Narrative Reports

Insurance adjusters have seen tens of thousands of narrative reports from Chiropractors and are immune
to the canned stuff, the superfluous stuff, and the pages of research.  Claim adjusters don’t pay attention to
that stuff anymore.  They want the facts, all the facts, and nothing but the facts.  Were effective treatments
done?  How much did they cost?  Did the chiropractor over-treat and fail to refer after 90 days?  Did the
patient follow a “normal” course of treatment with escalating invasiveness every three months?

1:00 pm        LUNCH

2:00 pm        Hour 6                Effective Record Keeping in P.I. Cases

Claim adjusters want the Symptoms, Exam results, all Diagnoses and their ICD-9 codes, all Treatments and
their CPT codes, and the “Intangibles” of the case.  Forms provided free that are time-tested and proven
effective to document all five of these important (case settling) facts.

3:00 pm        Hour 7                Impairment Ratings in P.I. Cases

Learn and AMA Guides approved methods of rating permanent impairments, when to rate, how to rate, and
where in the patient’s body to rate an impairment.  The most important new information is that attorney
Eggleston has inside information about how the treatments that have been done on your patient will affect
the impairment rating.  If you think you know impairment ratings, you need to hear this.  If you know nothing
about impairment ratings, get up to speed quickly in this hour.

4:00 pm         Hour 8                Narrative Reports That Settle P.I. Cases

Attorney Eggleston sees narrative reports every day from Chiropractors in P.I. cases.  Some are far more
effective than others.  Many doctors think they write “great” narratives but attorney Eggleston knows they
will never help settle the P.I. case   Learn what attorney Eggleston knows about narrative reports that will
make the patient’s case settle faster and more favorably.

5:00 pm        Hour 9*        Technique (Hour 1):  Trauma Patient Techniques That Work

Attorney Eggleston has heard dozens of patients testify that, “The chiropractor’s treatment didn’t help me.”
Chiropractors that have been practicing for 20+ years tend to have some of the poorest records and also
often provide treatments in P.I. cases that is the least effective.  Their patients testify in depositions and in
court that the chiropractor did the same thing every time, that the treatments didn’t really help them, and
that they sometimes feel worse after treatments.  Eggleston always asks them after the deposition, “Did you
tell your chiropractor that the treatments weren’t helping?”  The patients always say, “No.”  Some of them
have said, “I didn’t want to hurt his feelings.”  Learn what techniques your patient needs after an accident.

6:00 pm        Hour 10*        Technique (Hour 2):  Gentle Techniques for Trauma Patients

Where a diagnosis of ligament instability has been made by the proper evaluation of the patient, standard
chiropractic adjustments may be contra-indicated.  In this hour doctors will be taught modified and gentle
diversified techniques for AOMSI injuries of the neck, thoracic, and low back and how to judge the
effectiveness of their techniques with periodic re-examinations of the patient.

7:00 pm        Hour 11*        Technique (Hour 3): Chiropractic Techniques for Concussions

Cranial Technique is discussed along with other treatment techniques to help the patient heal from a brain
concussion.  California Chiropractors are woefully un-trained in their understanding of concussions and
they are misdiagnosing and mistreating this common injury frequently.  Dr. Eggleston teaches techniques
Chiropractors can use to help the brain concussion patient.

8:00 pm        Hour 12*        Chiropractic Techniques for Trauma Patients – Pain Patterns

Many chiropractic techniques are ineffective when the patient has neuropathic pain.  Doctors will be taught
both extravertebral and vertebral techniques when the patient has a pattern unique to trauma and involves
nociceptive as well as neuropathic pain.
